if u are going to lesser size u r comprizing with the picture & sound quality of the movie. the few extensions which are reduce the size but not affecting the sound & picture quality are .avi, .wmv, .rmvb so u can go for them anytime.

u need to download codec pack from the site to play it in window media player. otherwise download vlc player Or Combined Community Codec Pack (CCCP) Both works good for almost all formats. for codec pack try klite or ffdshow to download them just search in google.
i am using CCCP it plays all files in my media player Classic. & Also it have one more plyer (Zoom Player) with all the codecs required to view all type of extension movies.
imdb. com is the site which provides info for that movie. so that u can be sure what type of movie u downloading. megaupload is the site where from movie file will be downloaded. some file are
compressed in rar format. u have to install winrar to uncompress them.
